Mayor Bloomberg is asking the Board of Elections to bring back those old timey voting machines from the era of Guys and Dolls in time for the primary in September, because he doesn’t think they can get the job done with those new expensive machines they just bought a couple of years ago. Well on this occasion, Bloombucks is right. Election Day 2012 was something that rhymes with bustermuck. Too many long lines, workers with no idea how to operate a toaster oven, let alone  an electronic voting machine. I personally stood on line so long that day I could have sworn that Malia not Barack Obama was on the ballot. Let’s hope things run smoother this fall.
